What are your feelings about 9/11?

This is in Response to the Questions and Reflections for September 11, 2007:
I feel the hypocrisy of it all. My neighbor called me and woke me up by saying,
“Someone finally got pissed off with Bush... Turn on the TV.”
Although I was in shock... I wasn’t surprised.
My take? We [US] have mettled, invaded, supported, financed, armed, pimped our allies and enemies for so long... as the self-serving and self proclaimed World Police that it was about time someone got us back. What goes around, comes around... We had an opportunity to do something big... dialogue to fix this wrong even if it was between ourselves and get our act together, our Wake-up call to change our ways but instead, used the experience to invade Iraq for their oil (and now we pay 3x’s more).
We still have not found their ring leader (The Boogie Man)... but his videos pop up at key times. This country has been emotionally abused and controlled by our leader who uses “The Boogie Man” to keep “his” sheep living a low grade Fear existence, beat into submission... Code Red! Code Orange! Code Rainbow! which always happens when we have the opportunity for a breakthrough (or election or as a diversion) to remind us who keeps us safe...BS!
I think 911 was a Hail Mary Pass... They got lucky. Had we been paying more attention, it might have been avoided. It was a dark day... and we saw the collective face of hate. Now we have just as many casualties as 911 in Iraq (not to mention the thousands of innocents) and we are now that face. Six years later nothing has changed... The definition of insanity... Doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different outcome.
how Sad....

I DO agree with much of what you say GG . . . There is enough blame to go around on all sides. However, the people who planned and executed this act are evil . . . They use religion and their version of Allah to justify slaughter of innocents. Much as, Christians at many points have done the same thing throughout history. They were and are equally evil! There is evil on all sides, and so much of it is “justified” by a skewed interpretation of passages from the Bible and Koran . . .
You're right! How sad . . .
Thanks Snake…
The whole thing stinks…
Religion, many times, is the cause of a lot of suffering.

I agree.
and then we invaded Iraq… for oil…
?
You'll get no argument from me on that . . .
There's lots of blame to cover everyone . . .
No innocent parties in this one, except maybe most of the dead, who have no stake in the fight . . .
My sentiments as well.
Yet no one will dare tread on any one’s religion (for fear their own will be exposed?) as the underlying cause for this.
The End of Faith provides an excellent look at this whole situation.
GG:
I always say I was appalled, but not surprised too…and stated that before seeing this again as well…will we be surprised when it happens again? Probably. Senseless and horrific, but we are the world…it happens every day somewhere and we are all one…so when it happens anywhere, we should be appalled just as much!
Love,
A
Aley,
I am appalled every time I watch the news… This is the 21st Century… Wars, hunger, terrorism, genocide and then the mindless idolization of the non-talented which tends to be the lead story. No one should be exposed to any of these man-made atrocities…
At least we're not numbed by it all, that would be the real tragedy.
We've got to be the change.
I could go on, but…
thanks for the thoughts…
<3 too!
